He Chose Me!
I spent some time tonight thinking about how God chose Mike and I to be the parents of Miss Tenley. When I think about it like this, I'm just in awe. What did I do to deserve such a sweet little girl? I've always wanted to be a mom. I haven't always realized all the stress and anxiety that goes into being a parent (especially at Tenley's age) but it's all worth it. I just have this picture of God deciding that Mike and I were ready to become parents and he created Tenley just for us. He made her a perfect combination of Mike and I, with the originality of herself.
He gave her a sweet smile that brightens any room, a mild manner and bright blue eyes that look at you with love and hope. He gave her wild legs that kick, kick, kick. Just like they did in my belly! I can tell she's going to be active when she's mobile! So I'm savoring every moment of this stationary phase! She loves to roll around, but never stays on her tummy long. God gave her two sweet dimples that I just can't kiss enough.
God chose me! I'm trying my best Tenley. I want to be the best mommy I can be. I want to live up to all your expectations and more. I want to make God proud that He chose me. Daddy and I might make a few mistakes along the way, but please know they are all made in love. God chose ME! Here I sit, as you sleep, in awe of this love I feel for you. I'm so thankful I was chosen to be your mommy.

6 Months!
Tenley you are six months old! You're doing so much now I can barely keep up! Here's what's new in your adorable little life:
-You are getting two teeth! This hasn't been a fun process, but I know you're going to look so cute when those teeth come all the way through!
-You are sleeping through the night. Usually from 8:30pm - 8am.
-You are eating 7 oz. every 4 hours.
-You are eating baby food! You have tried carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes, applesauce and bananas. You're favorite so far has been applesauce!
-You are rolling everywhere!
-You are sitting up by yourself and you play so well now that you can. You never want to lay on your back anymore, now that you've realized you can sit up.
-Your favorite toys are a little rattle that belongs to your build-a-bear and a farm themed toy that has lights and music.
-You're wearing 6-9 month clothes.
-Size 2 diapers.
-You weigh 16.8 lbs.
Your smile takes away all the worry in the world, Tenley. We look at you and everything seems better. Your daddy and I can't imagine our lives without you. We love you Tenley!

5 Months!
Yikes, I really haven't been good about keeping up with this like I would like to. I want to have all of this information so that when I look back I can remember everything! Well, Tenley is almost 6 months old now (I can't even believe that.) But here's what she was doing this last month at 5 months!
*You have grown into size 2 diapers!
*Teething is an ongoing process! You live in a bib, because of the amount of drool that just drains from your mouth! I think you get this from my Uncle Ron! He was like that when he was a baby. That's what your Great Grandma Huber tells us!
*We started you on baby food this month! You've just tried carrots so far. You haven't really gotten the hang of swallowing the baby food yet, so it's a messy process right now!
*You're eating 7 oz. every 4 hours.
*At night you sleep from 8:30-6am. You wake up at 6 still very tired. I have to put your pacifier back in a few times, but eventually you fall back asleep til 7. That's when you eat again.
*You have been doing better on your tummy if I prop you up with a pillow.

*You are trying so hard to sit up. When we lay you on your back to play or on the changing table you lift your head up and try and sit up. It's so funny to watch, you're so close to sitting unsupported. You can sit alone for about 10 seconds before you lose your balance.
*You are wearing all 6 month clothes. Even some of those pants are getting too short! I tried some 6-9 month clothes on you last night and they fit to my surprise! I just can't believe how much you're growing.
*You are starting to use your tongue more. You like to blow bubbles and make funny noises.
You're six month appointment is next week, I can't wait to see how much you've grown!
